Computer processor speed affect the PC processing speed. There are many external factors that affect the performance of your PC. Defragmentation is essential in order to improve PC performance. Today, I'll give you some tips on how to improve your PC performance.
1. Scheduled Clean Up
Clean the dirt inside the computer will probably improve performance to the desktop, but not at all to the laptop. Internet surfing activities normally generates various files such as cookies that are used to facilitate browsing the internet. These files will eventually slow down your PC. Scheduled clean in this case means the elimination of junk files on your computer for example like a cookies.
2. Defragment
The information you have on the computer you sometimes look messy and hard to find. It also affects the performance of the computer. To overcome this problem use the defragment.Defragment is meant to rearrange the fragment of data into a proper manner which fetching of data from system become smoother and faster. Schedule defragmentation is recommended for computer users especially those who interested in software testing.
3. Uninstall Unwanted Program
Unwanted programs on your PC will consume the limited memory resources. Perform scheduled elimination of this program along with the clean up of junk files. You can easily perform the elimination using a Windows Clean Up feature for Windows users.
4. Turn Off Unwanted Background Application
Every time you turn on your PC, it would take less time to boot if these are not much application running at the startup time. As you install more software in your PC, there will be more application being activated during startup time which is actually slowing down your PC even after PC boot. These application run in background mode and consume part of the PC memory. In order to avoid memory consumption by these background application, someone can turn off these application by following the steps below:
- Click Start
- Click Run or press “Windows Button” at the same time with “R Button” on your keyboard
- You will see Run Windows and then type msconfig, click OK
- Click Service on the tab
- Uncheck the unwanted program
- And then click Apply
5. Turn Off Sidebar
Sidebar is a feature that is owned by windows. Windows Sidebar provides easy-access to certain applications, but Windows users may experience slow startup because this feature used up around 120 Mb to keep these application running. Turn off the sidebar to avoid decreased computer performance.
6. Add more RAM
RAM size is an important criterion that determines the performance of the computer in term of speed. RAM acts as temporary storage for data used to open certain applications. More RAM installed in your PC eliminating the need to retrieve data from the system every time you open the application and this will improve PC performance.
7. Format
Final solution is to do format. After formatting, your PC will be free of all problems such as slow performance and virus infections. Follow the steps as described above to maintain your PC perform.
